Lavender essential oil is famed for helping us to fall asleep easily and to sleep soundly. However, if you want to really reap these benefits, there is no use using a cheap, hybrid lavender oil with sharp camphorous notes. You need the pure, sweet fragrance of the finest organic lavender oil from France – so that’s what we use. This oil is gentle, soporific and soothing, and will help protect you from colds and other infections while you sleep. Sweet Marjoram also helps overcome insomnia, while Sweet Orange is emotionally soothing and relaxing, and Clary Sage helps you to unwind and let go of all the cares and worries of modern life. | Pain DissolverContains 100% pure essential oils of Lavender Vera (organic highland population), Peppermint (eco), Sweet Marjoram (organic), Sweet Birch (wild) Pain Dissolver: Relieves muscular tension and soothes away aches and pains. As we have mentioned Lavender and Sweet Marjoram both have analgesic properties. They work to heal and relax the physical body at the same time as relieving shock and anxiety that often accompany physical damage or tension. Sweet Birch essential oil is one of the most effective for treating sore or cramped muscles, tendonitis and rheumatism. Its powerful action as a topical analgesic makes it a great addition to blends such as this which we recommend for sports massage. Please note: Sweet Birch oil is not suitable for use during pregnancy or for those on anti-coagulant drugs such as Warfarin. Peppermint helps reduce swelling and muscular pain and strains. It balances the central nervous system, releasing tensions in the mind and body, calms and regulates the digestion. Also clears sinuses and lung congestion, great for coughs, excellent for inhalations. So, this is the blend to reach for if you are suffering pain, cramps or stiffness in muscles or joints. Use it diluted to 1% in a carrier oil for massage, or in the bath in a dispersing bath oil or milk and with a cupful of Epsom Salts thrown in. |
